We offer training in the First Step to Success and First Step to Success Pre-school Edition, very successful programs designed to prevent anti-social behavior at home and at school. First Step to Success teaches positive pro-social behaviors within the classroom and requires relatively few resources. The classroom teacher works with another adult, called a coach, for about an hour a day for the first six days. The role of coach can be fulfilled by an aide, teacher, school psychologist, or behavioral specialist, or other concerned adult after about ten hours of training.

Successful Students also provides training in positive school-wide discipline, classroom management, individual student systems, functional assessment and Direct Instruction.

First Step to Success is being implemented statewide in Oregon. This implementation is coordinated by the Institute on Violence and Destructive Behavior at the University of Oregon.
