First Step to Success Training

What:

Two day training for implementation of the First Step to Success Program:
An early intervention program for young students at-risk for anti-social behavior

The first day of training will provide background information on children with challenging behaviors and focus on effective researched based behavior and classroom management practices for all students. Effective classroom management practices are a pre-requisite for successfully implementing the First Step to Success program. Specific strategies will be provided to implement the First Step to Success program in the classroom.

The second day of training will be a continuation of Classroom Implementation and provide specific information on obtaining parent cooperation, working with the target student and implementing the home component.

Jan. 17 & 18, 2002 8:30 am – Noon, 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm Deadline: Jan. 5
Feb. 25 & 26, 2002 8:30 am – Noon, 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm Deadline: Feb. 11
